At a busy San Juan Capistrano Rotary Club meeting, Dave Koffs embodies the spirit of service that has defined both his professional and personal life. His path to Rotary began in the early 2000s, but the seeds were planted years before, in 1983, when he bought his first fixer-upper behind Long Beach State.
That initial renovation project taught Dave more than just how to transform houses – it showed him the profound impact one person could have on a community. After transitioning from aerospace to real estate, he carried this lesson forward, building a business centered on helping others. His network grew to include not just clients, but generations of families he'd helped settle into homes across South Orange County.
For Dave, joining Rotary was a natural extension of his daily work. Coming from a family with three generations of Marines, he found particular meaning in supporting military families, often including appliances in home sales to ease their transitions. Through Rotary and his work with the Boys & Girls Club, Dave continues to weave together business acumen and community service, creating lasting change in the San Juan Capistrano community.
What started with renovating houses has evolved into rebuilding and strengthening community bonds, one project at a time. Today, Dave's legacy extends beyond real estate transactions or Rotary meetings – it lives in the countless lives he's touched through his commitment to service above self.
